The Mission Workshop Softshell Faroe Pullover

When we made our first order with Mission Workshop there was one piece that stood out as unusual. Actually, kind of weird....

The Softshell Faroe Pullover is based on their Merino version. But it's softshell... Like a light jacket. Strangely enough, this has proven the most popular item in the range among staff, with eager adopters aplenty.

The first thing you notice is how light it is. Just 220g. It packs a lot of performance though: The Softshell Faroe is constructed using Swiss-made Schoeller®-Dryskin fabric with Nanosphere® water repellent treatment. It's a woven fabric with special functional fibres on the inside for rapid moisture transport and hard wearing polyamide on the outside. It packs down excellently due to its low volume, so you can pretty much take it anywhere. As well as being stretchy enough for total ease of movement, it's hard wearing, breathable, wind and water repellent and fast drying. It really is perfect for travelling. Works great as an outer layer if it's chilly and layers brilliantly under a jacket for warmth.

"I've been wearing one since January and it's safe to say it's almost all I wear when I'm riding in an environment that demands it. That ranges from sunny days in the New Zealand mountains, where I want to keep the sun off my arms and neck, or a misty mountain hop in the Angeles Crest. Even here in Austin, with our hit-or-miss rainy spring weather." - The Radavist

This really is an amazing bit of kit. Commuting, bikepacking, mountain biking, running... You get the picture.
