I did my first Triathlon in 2007

It was the Olympic distance at the London Triathlon, and I was raising money for Diabetes UK I ran quite seriously during university days (though that was a while ago!) and of course i love cycling

The swim though would be the big challenge.

I remember going to see the course and being very intimidated with how far away the swim buoys were. Matters were made worse when someone said that was for the sprint distance - they had not yet put out the further buoys for the Olympic!

My wife did not sleep at all that night.

Needless to say I did the event and absolutely loved it - i loved the spectacle of the occasion, the sense of camaraderie amongst the participants and the sheer fun of having 3 disciplines and 2 transitions to master.

I was hooked

Since that day I have done countless events ranging from Sprints to four Ironman Distance events.

I have always been amazed, given the sports popularity and its inherently technical nature, how few good Triathlon shops there are in the London area I could not imagine buying a wetsuit online, nor some running shoes. Fit and impartial advice is everything.

And that is where we aim to help.

We are a 2XU concept store and have all the equipment from Wetsuits, to goggle, to Tri-suits and then running belts, hats and speed laces. We also have a full range of compression wear to minimize the inevitable post race pain!

We are also a big Newton running dealer and are massive fans of the ethos and the technology behind the shoes.

It goes without saying that we take Triathlon bike fitting, and Triathlon bikes very seriously indeed!
In our eyes (and race results don't lie) Trek and Specialized make the most aero and Triathlete friendly bikes in the world.

The Speed Concept and the Shiv are wonders of modern engineering - exceptionally aerodynamic, but also light and comfortable.

Most importantly though you don't need to be a gymnast to get a good position on one - there is masses of adjustability in terms of frames sizes and front-end adjustability

But only if you have the experience and expertise to set one up correctly

Combine the super adjustable bike position with a professional bike fitting and you will have a very comfortable, efficient and ultimately quick bike leg with plenty of gas left for the run
