Parlee were pioneers of the gravel/adventure bike with the Chebacco. As always they started by building a bike for the kind of riding they like to do themselves, in this case exploring the tracks and byways of their local stomping grounds.

With tyre clearance up to 40mm and disc brakes the Chebacco isn't simply a relabelled cyclocross bike - Parlee have designed it from the ground up to perform well on road as well as off. The bottom bracket is a little lower than on a typical cross bike, the geometry more relaxed, and the end result is a bike that shares the stable, precise handling that's found across the Parlee range.

In Parlee's own words: "Gravel grinding, cyclocross racing, tackling a commute in the urban jungle. Now, for the first time, you can do all those things on one bike that delivers remarkable versatility plus the signature Parlee ride quality."

You don't need three different bikes for cyclocross racing, gravel grinding and winter road riding. You just need one Parlee.

Our Features Editor, Dave Arthur, tested the Chebacco for Road.cc and came away impressed. What better test than the epic Dirty Reiver ride?

For the demands of the Dirty Reiver 200, I found the Parlee the perfect choice and there is nothing that I would have changed. It's more stable and comfortable than a cyclocross bike, with room for big tyres and loads of mud clearance. It's a very impressive bike. It was comfortable, fast in all conditions, the ride compliant and the big tyres grippy and fast rolling. The combination of adjustability, speed and geometry make it a compelling choice for anyone wanting a bike that can tackle a gravel event, do cyclocross or be used on the road.

When Bespoke's head honcho, Barry, needed a deluxe commuter for pot-holed London-Kent roads the Chebacco was a natural choice. Plush ride, a good turn of speed and utter reliability.

Bespoke customer Greg asked us to build his Chebacco to excel in winter conditions. Hydraulic disc brakes, ultra-precise and reliable Ui2 shifting, and a Quarq power meter to ensure that those winter miles aren't wasted...
