Q36.5 have developed their own Italian-made fabric "UniqueFabric Ergogenic". It is both extremely densely woven and very stretchy. This makes for an exceptionally snug yet comfy fit, with a very 'premium' feel. They also use a tubular construction to ensure that no seams are in contact with your body - even the bib braces are free from any kind of hem or side stitching. This enables them to give maximum support whilst remaining extremely comfortable.

A lumbar support panel provides stability through an extra tight-woven section, and contains silver thread to protect from electrostatic and magnetic interference. Constructed with a minimum of panels to aid aerodynamics, and free from any front-facing seams, the bibs also benefit from a jacquard pattern woven on the surface of the high-density fabric.

The "Y-pattern" found on the legs disrupts the surface of the air, reducing drag, and has been designed and tested specifically for limbs which are in constant movement. Q36.5 have intelligently aligned the panels of the shorts to make the most of the fabric's performance qualities; modulus force, elastic return and stretch, orientated in function of the direction of the pedalling action.

There's a lot of science behind this, but the end result is that the fabric is designed to be snug to benefit circulation, whilst providing less resistance when pushing down on the pedals.

The fabric is also treated for water repellence before being woven, rather than simply being treated with a surface coating. This aids both water resistance and drying times. As with all Q36.5 bibs they are designed for maximum comfort in a cycling position - when trying them on they may feel constrictive when standing upright, but will feel perfectly fitted when in a riding position.
