Sidi Shot Carbon Road Shoe

Sidi's top of the range road shoe, the Shot is a showcase for their best materials and construction methods.

The Vent carbon sole, as the name implies, allows you to open a vent in hot weather for the best ventilation (it also makes a handy drainage point if making a wet transition in a triathlon.

Like all good road cycling sole units it's super strong, stiff and lightweight, but also has a small amount of flex built into the toe area for added comfort without affecting performance.

Both the heelpad and the toe vent are replaceable, and are made from a softer polyurethane material to provide better grip when off the bike.

The standard 3-hole pattern allows the fitting of any standard road pedal cleats.

An adjustable heel retention system addresses one of the biggest bugbears of cycling shoes - the shoe that fits perfectly at the front but is loose at the heel. This is useful for most riders, but particularly those of us who use orthotics/custom footbeds. Sidi's innovative system allows for easy adjustment and secure fastening.

In common with most pro-level shoes these days, the Shot uses a twist buckle fastening system - far easier to adjust "on the go" than traditional lace systems, and providing a much more even pressure distribution, which gives both added security and comfort.

Available in a choice of colours. The Fluorescent Yellow colourway actually stores up energy in the daylight and then glows gently in the dark.

Sidi shoes are based on an Italian last. The Shot is part of their standard fit range, which tend to come up towards the narrower end of the cycling shoe spectrum.

To find which Sidi size you are, follow the instructions below:

  • Put a piece of paper on the floor against the wall.
  • Put your foot on top of the paper with your heel firmly against the wall. make a mark on the paper at the end of your big toe.
  • Measure from the end of the paper to the line you have drawn.
  • If you have measured correctly, you will have an accurate foot length in millimeters.
  • Repeating the steps a few times will allow you to be sure you have measured correctly.
  • The length in millimeters on the size chart refers to the size of the last used, so if your foot length falls between sizes, be sure to size up rather than down.
