Extensively tested in Specialized's own wind tunnel, this is a
true performance helmet, worthy of the S-Works name. But it's not
just light weight and ventilation that matter in a helmet; comfort
is also part of the consideration. This is where the Prevail II
shines, everything from the revised shape to the super-soft straps
ensure that it's truly "fit and forget".
Amidst all the aero-tested technology and very necessary safety
features it's easy to overlook one of the less glamorous but very
effective features of the Prevail: Specialized have developed a
special "gutter action" brow pad design to channel sweat away from
your eyes, addressing a problem that afflicts even the most well
ventilated of helmets in hot weather. Just another example of the
expertise from a manufacturer who've been building cycle helmets
longer than just about anyone else.
