OPEN WI.DE.

Overview

The WI.DE. ("WInding DEtours") takes OPEN's more-than-road ethos and extends it further into the roughest of terrain. As gravel/adventure riding becomes more adventurous the WI.DE. is here to ensure you aren't held back, with the ability to happily accept up to 700 x 46c gravel tyres, or 650b wheelsets with tyres up to a whopping 2.4in wide.

This isn't just an MTB frameset with drop bars though - far from it. The WI.DE. has been designed with a geometry that ensures it is still fun and efficient on road sections, whilst remaining nimble and comfortable off-road. It's designed around road cranks, and the latest 1x gruppos from SRAM and Shimano provide ample gearing for all kinds of terrain, with neat internal cable routing keeping things clean whether you're running mechanical or electronic shifting.

As you'd expect there's a full complement of mounting points for bottles and bags, whilst those distinctive dropped chainstays provide maximum tyre clearance and allow a super stiff box-section behind the bottom bracket.

This build features Supacaz's extra-grippy bar tape to ensure maximum control even in muddy and wet conditions, and those gorgeous Panaracer GravelKing special edition tyres don't just perform brilliantly, they also bring a touch of colour and retro-nostalgia.
