"Its simple: when you can brake smarter, you go faster," explains Bob Parlee. "We've eliminated the significant drawbacks caused by rim braking, and designed a bicycle that helps riders accelerate faster and maintain their speed throughout any race. Wet-weather performance is also far superior."
There are many reasons we love Parlee bikes. Not least the fact that everything is done for a reason, there's no marketing spin or pandering to fashions. So when they design a Tri/TT bike you can be sure that it's going to be packed with useful features...
One of the most notable features of the TTiR are those fairings over the front and rear disc calipers. After all, if you're going to maximise stopping power you'll also want to maximise speed and aerodynamic efficiency. Disc brakes are unquestionably a good thing overall, but they can spoil the sleek lines of an aero bike - the fairings tackle this problem, whilst ensuring plenty of ventilation to avoid overheating.
Fit is, of course, our obsession, and this is another area the TTiR shines. A Parlee exclusive seatpost design allows for up to 7 degrees of adjustment to find the ideal position, and their modular "Flex Fit" cockpit lets us dial in the perfect setup for efficiency, speed and comfort.
