One of our favourite all-rounder road bikes, the Tarmac Disc is a proven performer. This S-Works build never disappoints, with pin-sharp and ultra reliable shifting, and the luxury of those gorgeous S-Works carbon cranks with integrated dual-sided power meter.

Speed should not feel this comfortable, but Specialized have refined the carbon layup over the generations to provide a remarkably smooth ride (the visible carbon weave on this model highlights that in all its complexity and beauty).

With their Body Geometry programme Specialized were amongst the first of the big brands to really put an emphasis on proper fit - a subject close to our hearts! - and their carbon contact points continue that tradition - carefully shaped for performance, power and comfort. The Power saddle is a relatively recent addition to the lineup with a versatile slightly shortened profile that works equally well when cruising or putting the hammer down.
