We've previously taken an in-depth look at the whys and wherefores of e-bikes, as well as a ride review of this exact model. This epic 1x build is currently in our Gresham Street store, pop in and take an up-close look.

At a glance you'd be hard pressed to tell that the Turbo Creo is an e-bike, the sleek looks are of a piece with other S-Works bike, and as we've come to expect from Specialized the gorgeous paint scheme is the real attention grabber. But this is indeed a thoroughly modern e-bike, using the latest motor technology to provide an extended range on your longer rides and seamlessly delivered assistance if and when required.

The 50mm deep Roval carbon wheelset is an indication that this bike isn't afraid to go fast, whether assisted or not.

Tucked into one of the bottle cages is the optional SL Range-Extender Battery, giving up to an extra hour of riding (160Wh) in addition to the 80 mile range of the Turbo Creo's integrated battery. Simply add this on for longer rides, or remove it when not required.

E-bikes have evolved rapidly over the past few years, and the Turbo Creo represents the moment where they've become a part of the keen road cyclist's armoury, whether as an N+1 for recovery rides and exploration or as a core bike for those who want to go further without limitations.
