Specialized Tarmac Disc Comp

Overview

We're huge fans of the Tarmac SL6 at Bespoke. It has taken the stiffness and efficiency of its predecessor and added a good deal of comfort, as well as a dash of style, without giving up any performance.

Whilst the S-Works models tend to grab the spotlight, the trickle-down effect of technology means that there are plenty of other options in the range. This Comp model uses the same geometry, combined with FACT 9r carbon, to bring Tarmac performance to a wider audience.

The build kit is loaded with tried and tested components that are familar, yet anything but dull to ride. Shimano's Ultegra gruppo is the result of decades of development and is more than raceworthy, with a plush feel and superbly accurate shifting time after time. Hydraulic discs give brilliant stopping power whatever the conditions.

The DT Swiss wheelset is a reliable performer, and certainly up for tackling anything from sportives to training rides with ease. The beauty of the SL6 is that if the race bug bites you can pop on a set of fast-spinning carbon wheels and take the whole bike to another level.
