This Tarmac build equipped with Shimano's 105 groupset is the
perfect entry point into a truly race-ready "do everything" road
Everything here does the job - and then some - with a minimum of
fuss. But with the gorgeous blue paintjob there's no lack of visual
impact either. Whether you're dipping a toe in the world of racing,
or simply looking for a fast bike, the Tarmac's versatility makes
it a superb base for upgrading.
The DT Swiss wheels aren't super light (none are at this price
point) but they're durable, reliable and run smoothly. If you
decide to upgrade later to a lighter set of hoops they'll still be
plenty useful as training/winter wheels.
With a full range of Specialized's own contact points, including
the brilliant S-Works carbon seatpost, this is a bike that's ready
to perform - just add your choice of pedals and go.
