Trek Emonda ALR 6 for Abbi

Overview

Abbi raced the gruelling Transcontinental race last year and was lucky enough to get a place to race again this year. The 2017 race starts in Geraardsbergen, Belgium and finishes in Meteora, Greece, covering around 4,000km. Cearly this will involve a spot of training...

Abbi wanted something lightweight, comfortable, reliable, fast and within her budget. After coming in for her bike fit it was decided that the Trek Emonda ALR 6 was the bike for the job. This lightweight aluminium road bike is a firm staff favourite with three members of staff regularly riding them. The Emonda is incredibly comfortable and loves to climb, offering a stable yet nimble platform both climbing and descending.

With numerous sportives planned as part of her training, Abbi has added tri bars. These will provide lots of extra positions on the bike, essential when taking on seriously long rides.

With Ultegra mechanical as standard, Abbi is assured of excellent and reliable shifting performance.

We'll keep in touch with Abbi as she prepares for the July kick off of TCR #5. Come and see us for your own perfectly fitted training machine.
